I've been using DVD shrink for sometime and until recently I never really had a redundancy error I couldn't get around but now was becoming a constant annoyance, it would read halfway through the disc then the preview screen would go black so I knew what was coming. I was using my Lite-On 411S to read until it started giving me the redundancy errors. Luckily my computer has 3 drives so I was able to still read the disc with my Lite-On Combo drive proving the problem was with my 411S.

I went on the internet and found a procedure that upgrades your 411S to a 811S using a firmware hack which overclocks your 411s to one which your computer reconizes as a 811S, so be warned if you try it you may ended up with a dead drive. Since changing my drive to and 811S I haven't had any problems with redundancy and the drives seem to be working better then before.

Now I figured my drive was dieing and had nothing to lose attempting this so if you want to try it just google 411s to 811s and read up on how to accomplish this. Neweggs also had a SOHW-1693S for $46.99 so I was prepared to purchase a new drive if I fried the one I had.

When I had a redundacy error I just cleaned off the disc popped it back in and everything worked as it was supposed to.

ummm...I'm not exactly sure what information you are looking for here, but I have a LiteOn 411S that I hacked to an 811S. I did it wrong the first time due to a not so thorough guide on how to do it.

Basically you need the 811S EEPROM file and the firmware file for the 811S. You'll also need the flashing utility and I also recommend using OmniPatcher, it allows you to customize your firmware, telling the burner to be able to burn certain discs at certain speeds and to automatically booktype all +R and +RW discs to DVD-ROM. Now you'll need to patch your EEPROM and firmware files (this is what they didn't tell me in the guide I used) with some patching utility before you put them on your burner. Flash the burner with the EEPROM first, then the firmware.
