is this DVDXCOPY a gimmick or does it work like it says on the box

yes it works. it copys a dvd to 2 dvd-rs /+rs. check out http://dvdxcopy.afterdawn.com

It works great, I have been successfully backing up all of my dvds with dvdxcopy.
I use ritek dvd-r with my pioneer dvr-104 with 100% success. Princos also work well.
