Ok Ive been backing up my PS2 games successfully using DVD Decrypter and booting them with Swap Magic. So Im trying to do the same with my XBOX, now I know the procedure to backup XBOX games using the XBOX drive to rip them. What I need to know is how to softmodd it. I need step by step instructions. PLz help. I only have FIFA 2005 and thats about it. So plz someone help.

OK you've come to the right person:

What you'll need:

-Action Replay OR Xbox USB adapter and a thumb drive
-Mechassault version 1.0 (er the original version)
-Depending on what OS you want to use (theres EvoX and Xbox Linux) the installers for
one of those ( you can find them at http://www.xbox-linux.org OR http://
www.evox.xboxhackz.com)
- Patience

STEP 1: Attach the action replay to your computer and download the installer files onto the
card (MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE MECHASSAULT VERSION)
STEP 2: When you boot the xbox go to memory and select the memory card and then
download the installers to the xbox HD
STEP 3: Turn off the Xbox and boot it with Mechassault in the drive (if you dont feel like
buying the game rent it from someone)
STEP 4: When the main menu comes up select Campain and then install linux or EvoX
Step 5: When its done boot the xbox up with no cd in the drive and you will see linux on
the dashbord
you softmodded ur Xbox!

P.S I Xbox linux is a lot easier to find then EvoX!!!!

i heard u can do the same with 007 auf, is that true?

also i have an xbox controller with a usb adapter and a memorycard sum1 said u can put the files on to the xbox like that.

also i have a modded xbox i can ftp files to, how do i get the gamesave on the memcard from my modded box?

u can with 007 but not with the platinum version
