Hi, I am learning how to burn dvd's at the moment and am having a few problems. I have DVD Shrink 3.2 and Nero 6 installed and I know the process and everything goes okay, but when I play the dvds back its like they are "dirty". They get stuck and skip etc.
Can anyone please help me with this?

You need to tell us the brand of media you are using - poor quality media leads to poor playback.

Also need to know at what speed you are burning - burning too fast can lead to playback problems.

Are you using pretty labels on your burnt media? - Again these can lead to playback problems.

Are the playback problems on your standalone, your computer or both?

I hope I am answering this correctly, Im not really "up" on all the terms. By brand of media, do you mean the DVD? I dont know the brand of these, I got them from ebay because they were cheap. I dont know what speed I am burning them at, if you tell me how I can look it up. Im not using labels and it happens on computer and DVD player. Hope I answered correctly without looking tooo dumb!! haha

This could be a problem, it sounds as if your burning is going alright, but your standalone player is not liking the disks. You need to get the information on the make and model and current firmware of your burner. You can use the Nero Info Tool to do this, just go into the toolkit tab and then the Info Tool. It should look like this
