Kazaa Partcipation Level

Hi,
I've been trying to work out what that number means next to the participation level.
e.g. Guru (Very Nice Rating) (238)
What does that number mean? How does the system work, I've been trying to work it out but every time I think I work it out it does something unexpected.

901-1000 =Supreme Being
501-900 =Deity
201-500 =Guru
200-101 =High
50-100 =Medium
0-49 =Low
Let people share your small size files if you want your participation level to go up more quickly.If you become a Supreme Being, watch out, if you start downloading a 700MB movie then your participation level will decrease drastically.The higher your status, the more the probability that you will be able to download a file from another user with a lower status from the source. In other words the lower participation users get cancelled automatically in favour of the higher participation users.

And this is where I come in. There actually is a way to make it so you have a supreme being level at all times no matter what you are sharing or downloading. Its called k++. http://www.geocities.com/rndkpp/

Right. That makes a lot of sense.
I had guessed that the number going up was probably good... the only thing I hadn't been able to work out is how the number changed.
I guess from what you are saying that it has something to do with MBs transferred ( with modification for number of files and how many have integrity ratings).

A question for you, Dela. The link you gave above regarding maintaining participation levels....does it only work if your at Supreme Being level? I downloaded the zip file from the link, having opened it I double-clicked on the .exe file....which in turn gave me an error message. At the time I tried to open the file I was at Guru level, does this have anything to do with the error? There were no clear instructions as to how to work this thing.
Do you have to place this .exe file in the Kazaa folder and then execute the .exe?

I just ran the exe and it asked me where the kazaa file was! I was at medium and it worked properly so I'm permanently at Supreme Being (1000) now! Try unzipping all the files before you run the .exe . I used it with kazaa lite also!

the k++ works best and is included in the new kazaa lite. http://www.kazaalite.tk
it also has NO spyware, NO ads, the option for endless search mores, two differant speedups, and the permanent supreme being rating:) plus lots lots more!
after using kazaa with the cd_clint dll for a year I thought it couldn't get better, but it did:)

Ye kazaa lite is the better than kazaa because it reomoves the spyware, adware, stealware and the mp3 birate limits! The only problem is Kazaa just aint that good anymore!

I just installed this so-called Kazaa-Lite (k++) earlier today. Seems to have taken away all of the negatives of Kazaa with regards to spyware and such. There seems to be a big problem with people changing filenames however, and I've noticed that this is on the increase, it never used to be as bad as this. There's some very sad people out there! The software files seem to be riddled with viruses. If you click the options menu and go to the tabbed page where there is a option to tick a checkbox for files that could potentially contain viruses, if you tick this box you end up with no searches for software. You can't really win!

so dela, what is good now? i downloaded shareaza.com p2p and i couldnt get anything but 1 kb/sec! went back to kazaa lite, anyone try shareaza? i believe it is a Gneutlla[sp?] client.. what is the differnce from kazaa/kazaa_lite?

well hopefully most of yous know about kazaalite. if not i want to educate the ones without this knowledge. well as you all know kazaa is a p2p file sharing service (peer 2 peer) where you can download almost anything as long as someone else out there in the world has it and is sharind it. although it is a great program itself it can be better. thats y there is new hacks out the for it. the main perks of these hacks are that they close all the ad-ware and spy-ware programs that kazaa brings. it gives you a permanent participation level of k-lite master (1000) aka "supreme being". now when you have a participation level of 1000 youll find yourself not getting bumped off to other users so much (getting those irritating "more sources").

now the reason you get bumped off is because kazaa promotes file sharing, so it doesnt matter if your sharing a lot of files(you can be sharing tens of thousands of files) you have to be sharing files that people want. so the more uploads you get the better participation level you get thus the beter downloads you get. now kazaalite skips all this bull shit. and gives you a permanent participation level of 1000. if everybody used kazaalite the world would be such a better place. more downloads, faster downloads, etc. i could go more in dept about kazaa but i dont know if everybody wants to read about it. so i deeply encourage everyone to get kazaalite. and for those first time users try out kazaa first. heres the link for kazaa lite++

i highly doubt it. oyur participation level should be at 1000. make sure your using kazaalite++.

allisonc Basically If you Use KazaaLite++ You Are A "Supreme Being" The only thing is that it should say "K-Lite Master" Its the same thing as supreme being. but if you really want "supreme Being" just look for an older version of KazaaLite++ there out there somewhere...

That link is not the official download for kazaalite! They have kazaa++ already packed with them. I dont know about everybody else but I would much rather get Kazaa Lite and add the K++ Patch myself to ensure there isnt anything extra gets thrown onto my machine. Of course, I am not making any accusations or anything so dont think that :)

Nah I'm grand with what I have cause I don't realy use kazaa. I'm just making a point that I'd rather get the official download of kazaa lite and add the K++ patch myself than get a packed installation! As for ad scanners I bought a copy of ad-aware professional 6 the other day and geez its good and I would highly recommend it to anyone!

ok look first thing is first. you seem to be so sure that if you install kazaa lite, oh wait i forgot, the "official" kazaa lite. silly me. that it will help some how. now if anyone uses your primitive method of install p2p agents they might as well use the primitive kazaa with its good old ad-ware and spy-ware capabilities. basically what your saying is first download kazaa original (i assume) THEN look for the "official" kazaa lite, THEN if you know where to look get the new kazaalite++. phew took me a long enough to write that wonder how long people are willing to spend on look for these agaents then installin them. hmmm lets see... i recently gave a reliable link to the best virus scanner around (mcafee) and one of the best ad-ware scanners around...hmmm...what could i have left out. now the internet world could continue to be another scared browser and use your method or get over it and use mine. hmmm lets see if my method some how isnt "safe" then i guess you have something to take up with mcafee dont you? unlike you im getting great downloads all the time and im never turning back. so continue to be afraid of the internet world and all of its wonders. but unlike you im going to experience this wonder before it goes away just like the others... good old napster and audiogalaxy R.I.P. hopefully someday the internet world will come out of its cave and realize what its been missing until next time... i have massive downloading to do.
