Try cleaning off the disc and try again. CRC errors can mean the disc is dirty, scratched, bad press or shrink can't handle the copy protection on this disc. If that's the case you'll need Decrypter or AnyDVD running the the background.
What movie is it?

@virgo1,
You should have posted this in the DVD Shrink forum instead of Nero.

Ah then I think your culprit is the media used. A firmware update may help. Poor quality discs are known for CRC errors. I would also suggest trying to rip it w/ Decrypter. If Decrypter can't rip nothing can -imo.

is this a Benq drive, as the name 'ATAPI DVD DD 2X16X4X16' is generic , could be one of a few drives... then we can advise you which firmware to go for. as i say, i suspect you need G7V9 but need to be sure exactly which drive you have...

If you're running AnyDVD in the background and receiving the CRC error the disc is probably dirty, scratched or a bad press. Try cleaning it. Have you tried Decrypter to rip it? What's the movie? Is it the original or a copy?

I get the same error using DVD Shrink to decrypt "Matrix Revolutions." There are scratches on the dvd. I have also tried DVDDecrypter and DVDFab Decrypter. I'm also running DVD Region+CSS in the background. I'm going to try one more time or I'm going to have to get another donor.

All 3 of the proggys you used will remove the css and region codes. Try ripping with dvd region + css region turned off and see wahts happens. Can't hurt. Also try - if you haven't already - to rip in iso mode with decrypter. This has sometimes worked for me when file mode failed.

binkie7 it was a boot leg movie four brothers.
Since "4 Brothers" isn't even out on DVD yet, any copy of it will have been made by means "Other Than" professional. That means there is NO COPY PROTECTION on the disk!!
If your drive can't read the disk, you have a Bad Disk. Get one from someone else!

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but you probably have a bad press. If decrypter or AnyDVD couldn't do it nothing probably can.
Btw what's the movie and region #?
Oh almost forgot: Welcome to aD!
