I've tried researching this on the net but to no avail.

I can't quite understand why sometimes there are 2 duplicate video streams in DVD Shrink, both of the same size and content. I've noticed on several occasions that one stream would have English titles while the other French, etc, but sometimes I see no difference betwen the two streams whatsoever.

Thanks!

Whatever the case, how do you know which stream to choose them when ripping? Do you determine this just by the preview window?

All you can really do is look at the preview window or play the original to see if the other is an alternate ending as that will be mentioned in the movie's menu. I had one of those like that and just copied the theatrical version

I would preview first with your media player of choice, and you should be able to tell which stream is where on shrink.

Alternative ending streams would not be expected to have the exact same length and file size. Different camera angle is a better bet to explain.
