Trying to calculate the math and forgive me if I'm mistaken but I checked Canadian prices and it was about 134.9 cents per litre for gas or $1.35 per litre...am I right so far?
Litre to gallon is 1 = .264, so it takes 3.78 litres to = 1 gallon...so far so good...
3.78 x 1.35 = 5.103, or if I'm correct (rounding off) gas would be $5.10 per gallon in the Great White North. I think I'll keep my $2.99 per gallon here in Chattanooga, TN.
By the way, we have no state tax here...what's the Canadian tax rate?

Update...I didn't take into account the dollar conversion....5.10 Canadian is 4.30 US....even though they currently suck, I'll still keep the US gas prices!

The currency issue is really screwing it up, please post in USD, because that's the most important currency anyway, LOL. Funny thing is, is that it's true, lol.

Anecdotal, by my definition, it's the way too many people here think. It's also all the evidence you have.

The gov't is responsible in the fact that they did not accept the 25 foot flood wall proposal many many years ago which would have saved many refineries, and kept gas prices down.

the spike in fuel prices is temporary things will level off soon
if you think you have problems paying a little more for a short time for gas then STOP a minute and think about the millions of people in the deep south WITHOUT a home for months to come and your relize you dont have ANY problems compared to them

No homes and no work, since it will be a long time before there is any commerce in the N.O. area. Folks will have to find work, outside of the area.

What is with these high price gases i mean don't we pay enough money? we have to pay for car of course, insurince, and oil changes and filter and all those crap. That's to much money. gas should be like $1.50 per gallon.

rihgt pays for his stuff just like any good citizen, aabbccdd, and he has as much of a right as anyone else to let out his frustration at the situation when such an extreme increase in the price of what is a relatively highly-ordered necessity occurs. get off his ass. if you don't like it, don't post. he didn't come here to be harassed or bossed around by you.
