I'm having problems with DVD shrink or Nero as well!

Can anyone analyze my log file and give me some suggestions?
I tried upgrading the firmware to my DVD player but that didn't fix the problem so I uninstalled the DVD player and reinstalled it with the original drivers.
I've also tried using different medias ie, TDKs, Verbatim, etc.
I can burn files on to CD-Rs without any problems... So I'm stumped!
Any help would be much appreciated, I'm desperate here!!!

I've been having similar problems, and similar log results. I'm using DVD Shrink v 3.2 along with Nero v 6.6, a Khypermedia DVD+R/RW DX082D drive (Model # KDVRW8X and Serial # XE010C000892) with firmware ver 10sB, and Maxell DVD+R media to backup my DVD movies. All was working fine until recently.
I tried re-installing DVD Shrink, and Nero, I was debating on updating my firmware - but a little reluctant to. I also thought that maybe something is wrong with the drive, but it seems to be reading everything fine. I've already tried cleaning the drive, and blowing the inside out.
I'm wondering if you have fixed your problem, and if so which steps did you take. Did you update your firmware, or something else?
Thank you for any advice that you, or anyone, could give.

What make is your burner and post a Nero log. It is found in Programs, Ahead, Nero and look for Nero History.

I will try upgrading the f/w to BYS3 and turning DMA ON and also using less resources (easier said than done hehe)...
I'll see how this goes and then reply with the results.

@stone-ok - looks like binkie7's got you in hand there. Also you're trying to burn to outer edge of discs Quote:

set target size to 4300MB in Shrink's preferences, this avoids the outer edge of discs & doesn't sacrifice much space. Other than that i've subscribed to your similar post re firmware over at www.burningbits.com
