Yeah, anytime you ever connect to xbox live, you're at risk. Update to 1.51 and if you want to rip your own games, then update to 1.6 when it comes out.

I'm guessing programs will have to be updated to take advantage of the SSv2 feature also. So for all your games burned previously before ix1.6, will still be SSv1. So... no security enhancements if you are playing a SSv1 backed-up game... unless ix1.6 can do something on the fly.
