well seeing as its so hard to get some newer games verified i highly doubt that will happen unless someone volunteers TONS of time to do it. as it is now the databse relies on just ehoever to rip the ss files and then upload and then ryo checks them and makes sure they are correct before he uploads them to the databse for use by abgx. i had to wait like 3 months for Burnout paradise ult box to get verified

If you send me questions on Live about modding or anything related i will block you. Dont be an idiot.

I can't imagine burning 50 games all over again. Wonder if that would be necessary. I usually see new games in the database pretty quick. 3 months, never had that issue.

well it depends on the game. the most popular titels you will see right away but others not so much. like popcap arcade i have had that for weeks and havent burnt yet cause it isnt getting added to the DB. the crappy part is sometimes they dont need verification and there is no way to tell that untill it is in the database to see if it gets fixed. so the wait turns out to be all for nothing but i dont want to risk it.

Well I won't have to worry about that since I only play the good ones...lol. Just kidding. At least your playing it safe and that is always a good thing.

I'm sort of new, but i'm wondering if i download a game from a site like pirate bay or utorrent, how much bandwidth does it use (i'm assuming around 6-7gb). I have a 50gb monthly cap, but it goes extremely slow after 20gb, so i don't want to use gb quickly

Also, is there any advantages/disadvantages security wise with downloading games online?

Download peerguardian to help security risks. This contains a list of known IPs that should be blocked. This will help elmimate the monitoring, if any from your IP

what does this mean, One shot boot mode! - allows a one off boot of gamedisc without -stealth/partition checks (will still use stealth), use activate.iso disk -to activate each time!

I believe if you have a game without stealth sectors on it or possibly a game that was wave 3 but you patched it with wave 2 video partitions to get it to boot on older firmware, you could put in an activation disc (will be released along side ix1.6), and it will allow you to bypass stealth and security checking, to play the game.

Wow, that sounds really smart..... I don't think this should be an option if you want my opinion. I know not everyone plays online, but you know people are going to use this method and play online and come back here and tell us they got banned. Just my 2 cents.

Probably true but you know they wont be met very kindly. you have to burn the activation.iso and put it in before each time you load a non-stealth disc so if they do this and get banned it really is their own fault.

True too. I would think this would be too much of a hassle when all you really need to do is update the firmware.

This is what updating the firmware would cause. to not have to do this they would have to rip the non-stealth game to their harddrive run through abgx and then reburn.

Okay. By the way, is the ripping option now going to rip across the network to a PC?

Does this mean that the whole "the system creates a log of all the games you play and sends them to M$ when you go online and gets you flagged" theory has been debunked?

Just wondering since I hadn't seen it brought up.
Thanks

XBOX Halo Ed. = DuoX2 w/250gb HD
Xbox 360 Red Elite 120GB HDD = no-stealth 1.6 & XBReboot V3 & 1TB usb hdd
PS2 Slim = freemcboot v1.8 - PSP Black Slim = 5.00m33-6
Wii = w/ Blue XCM ii-case, Wiikey2 & softmodded

I really doubt that it does create a log and send it to ms if you play the game while offline... where would it be saved temporarily. If you think about it, if you have been playing offline (on an xbox live account) for a few months, then get on live, i doubt it would send it... it would take too much bandwidth to send the info (assuming it has been saved... somwhere unknown)

wouldnt be that hard. if all it saves is a small string of code like the correct SS file name or something simple like a string of characters for each game. it wouldnt take much memory at all or bandwidth. all systems have some type of onboard memory
