I just downloaded DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter and Nero. I followed the instructions in the online user guide (I was copying one of my DVD episode disks). After it was done encoding, it immediately started to burn. I checked it out on my DVD player when it was done and it's perfect. If Shrink burns, then why do I need Nero? Is it b/c it's faster? Shrink wasn't very fast. Took about 1 hr and 15 mins. Is Nero faster? If I wanted to use Nero to burn, how would I keep Shrink from automatically starting to burn.
Sorry for all the questions but I'm still very new at all this.

DVD Shrink does not burn, it calls up Nero (if installed, so Nero actually does the burning through DVD Shrink's interface making it appear like DVD Shrink is burning.)

To make it where DVD Shrink does not automatically call Nero up and start burning, disable the option in DVD Shrink's preferences (take the check mark out of the Burn with Nero box), and change your backup target from your burner to "Hard Disk Folder". Got it. That makes total sense. I'll just leave it the way it is since it's working! LOL I've tried alot of different programs and software since installing this burner last week and so far, this is the easiest. I'll continue to use it as long as it works. Will I have to purchase Nero after a certain amount of time? I noticed that I didn't pay for it yet so I figured it's probably a free trial. I downloaded it from this website. Any thoughts on that?

Yes you will have to purchase Nero if you downloaded a "Trial" version. Although, Nero will still work after the trial has expired but, it will burn at the slowest possible speed it can.

Which isn't a bad thing actually, cause you want to burn slow to ensure a good quality backup.
