Can you use DVD Shrink to shrink files you have downloaded on p2p site?

I have several movies I have downloaded from a P2P site. They are all too big to fit on a regular DVD+R (120 min, 4.7 GB). Someone suggested that I try DVD Shrink with this problem and he believed it could be done. Is it possible to do this with DVD Shrink or any other program? Thanks!!

after you have encoded them to mpeg2 , burn them using shrink in reauthor mode or with Nero recode.So i guess the answer to your question is yes
