4 what it's worth--Memorex 50-pack spindles in DVD-R and DVD+R showed up on shelves in Portland, OR Best Buy stores around end of 2002, ball-park price $90-100. The version 2.0 disks--very good quality--no coaster-making glitches likely, I believe. I assume nationwide availability. Kind of interesting since even Memorex own web site lists nothing bigger than 10-pack. Now if they'd just have a sale.
