DVD Shrink would not work with Hostage, so I used the dvd decorder and burned it on to my HD.

I opened up Shirnk and used "Open Disc Image" and used that. It seemed to work because shrink played and shrank it.

Now I burned those files on to a blank dvd and it would not play the dvd. I have two dvds players and one just said dvd-rom.

What Am I doing wrong?

It could one of the following:

Your media (blank discs), bad media gives you bad results.

Burn Speed, anything above 4x and you're risking making a coaster.

Your stand alone (set top) dvd player(s) doesn't like the media, try experimenting with which ones it can play.

Re-rip from the original again, this time do it in "File" mode, (not "ISO" mode) and select "All Files".
