I decrypt Van Halen Live Without A Net with DVDD. When I attempt to encode it with DVD Shrink it encodes for a few minutes and I then get this error message
DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.
Programming error-exception occured.
The handle is invalid.

I tried decrypting with DVD Shrink and had the same problem when encoding.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Shrink and have the same problem.

While I've been encountering this problem, I've successfully used Shrink for other movies.
Help!!

bbrule7 ,
Welcome to the forum. According to the Shrink site DVDDecrypter ( latest and last version) should get rid of that problem if you rip it to HD doing all of the files to HD. Did DVDDecrypter have any read errors?
If it had no read errors and you still can not decrypt it properly then you might try the 21 day free trial of AnyDVD . I works in the background as you are using Shrink.
You can also try DVDFAB Decrypter as they stepped up to the plate when DVDDecrypter stopped development.

Both programs can be found at the top of this thread under software.

First, thanks for the quick reply. Downloaded and installed AnyDVD.
Decryped fine, 0 read errors. Encoding with Shrink went fine till about the 35% point then this error message appeared.

DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.
Programming error- exception occured.
Invalid access to memory location.

I tried cleaning the DVD.Tried decrypting with DVDD, DVD Shrink and AnyDVD. I just used DVDShrink on another movie with good results, so it looks like the DVD must be bad.
