"DVD shrink encountered an error and cannot continue"
"Program error - exception occured"

has anybody else recieved this error message? what am i doing different..the first couple of dvds that i encoded did it perfectly..now this comes up all of a sudden at 0%. please help me..thank you

What movie are you trying to do, Shrink cannot handle the newer protections and will give you this error for some protection? Try ripping the disk with DVD Decrypter in file mode and see if this works. Or you can also use free DVDFab Decrypter available at http://www.filepedia.com. After your rip then use Shrink as usual.

I just got that error message on Lords of Dogtown last week.Boy was that a pain in the rear, LOL

Try the programs like arniebear posted.

Are they original dvds or backup dvds that give DVD Shrink that error?

If they are original dvds, let us know what the titles are. We can pretty much tell you which ones DVD Shrink can't do alone.It does need help from time to time, via AnyDVD by slysoft.

thanks arniebear. i used the DVD Decrypter to put the files onto my harddrive then i burned them from DVD Shrink. i was trying to burn a wedding date..lol. thanks too saugmon. so which dvds exactly wont burn with shrink?
