I want this Ram really bad LOL!

I've decided it's more important than a new processor. I'm trying to wait on major upgrades til February ;)

OMG!!! Hard drive prices have skyrocketed! I'll be listing 2 of my WD1001FALS on ebay tomorrow :D

Yep, I did say...
Now that they're no longer being manufactured, the pricing for those still around is going to soar!

You did? Selective hearing :S

This couldn't have happened at a better time! I feel for people in a different situation, but this really benefits me :p That will definitely fund the Ram I wanna purchase! I might even try and acquire enough for 32Gb. But that is pretty extreme LOL!

Eh hem, forget that last statement. 32Gb is stupid expensive! Plus my current board only supports 16. Guess I know what I'm getting.

In february I'll get a new board :D More than likely AM3+, but we'll see. AMD needs to show me something special.

sytyguy,

Here's another you might want to look at.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220603

It's way faster than the OCZ, and is worth the extra $10. Slightly faster than my 60GB Patriot Pyro.

Best Regards,
Russ

Not much faster.

The OCZ:
Max Sequential Readup to 525 MB/s (SATA 6Gbps)
up to 280 MB/s (SATA 3Gbps)
Max Sequential Writeup to 500 MB/s (SATA 6Gbps)
up to 260 MB/s (SATA 3Gbps)
4KB Random ReadUp to 20,000 IOPS
4KB Random WriteUp to 50,000 IOPS

The Patriot
Max Sequential ReadUp to 550MB/s
Max Sequential WriteUp to 515MB/s
4KB Random WriteUp to 85,000 IOPS

Plus, I will be using this drive as a secondary for Blu-Ray encodes. I already purchased it.

sytyguy,

I must have selected the wrong one, because the one I looked at was about 285MB/s. Sorry about that.

Well, as you know, you gotta be fast on some of these deals. I know I've lost out of some due to being late seeing the deals.

Here's a good deal on the Patriot Pyro 60GB SataIII SSD $70 with MIR. Excellent drive, and very fast, even in IDE mode.
