Im soo glad that I found this site! What a plethra of info! Great job!
I first want to say that I tried searching the forum and tried checking out a few of the suggestions, but stopped when I went to a firmware update site that said I should only use it as a last resort fix.
There was a previous thread from "john shark" where he included his error log, I looked at it and it looks like the same one Im getting. Mostly, it seemed like people were advising him to try better quality disks, Ive tried Imation and even thought my drive was junk and bought an external "lightscribe" drive. None of which have worked
So, I was using DVD shrink there for awhile, mangaged to almost backup all of my movies, and then it just went to junk on me. Now, the details are a bit fuzzy because this all happened about 9 months ago and I havnt had the time to devote to sorting out this problem.
DVD shrink seems to be working ok as far as the ripping goes, its when I get to the burning part that it fails. This is a copy of my error report:
