I did a DVD decrypt than burned it with shrink. Everything was error free. Then inserted the DVD into the drive and tells me waiting for DVD. Did a DVD INFO and tels me no DVD in Drive.

Took the DVD, Played it on my Living room player and it works.

Took the output files that shrink created, took those a input and burned another dvd and worked fine(since it was already shrunk, it remained at 100%), another way of burning another copy.

Then took again this input file, With clove DVD, created another copy and was fine( faster way of burning another copy)

Its twice this happened, once with DVD shrink Movie and the other with Clone DVD Software DVD. Iburn at 4x

My dedia discs are Fujitsu 8x and burner Pioneer 110D updated with the latest bells and whistels. LOL

Can someone tell me what's causing this

Then you will need a dvd playback software if it has never play on your computer before.

What movie did you burn, and what burn software are you using?

P4 3.0 Ghz HT, XP w/SP2
NEC DVD RW ND 3520A EXTERNAL
NERO 6.6.0.16
PS2 v30001 R

Many burners cannot read what they have written. DVD ROM drives do a better job.

You could try a different brand of media or switch from -R to +R.

Check and make sure your firmware is up to date:

Open DVD Decrypter > Tools > Drive > "Check For Firmware Updates"

You need to have an open internet connection to do this. It will take you here:

BTW, If your drive does not see the disc then it really does not matter what playback software you use on your PC.

I have about 90 media disc or DVD-R, cause my Living Room Player was old, but then bought another one. So I am stuck with these ones.

Plus I had not yet updated the bitsetting on my burner, which I did last week.

Funny thing, I inserted Star Wars III, and its got its own playback and gave me an region error. The movie is region 1 and my DVD player is region free. So I used WinDVD7 and it worked, also Win Media worked fine.

I wonder if the burner burned on the outer edges where the TOC is.

You would have gotten an error message if part of the burn failed to occur.

If you are going to do bit setting then you will have to use +R media.

That would be a good idea though. I didn't know if the 110 supported bit setting. None of the earlier Pioneers do.

Actually the 110D does not support bitsetting, but the what so called 'Brothers", modified the 1.22 firmware and it does allow you to do it.

I have not tried yet, but will since I got one media disc DVD R+.

If you go on the RPC1 forum, on the 110D, its all explained there.
