Hi all,

For the last couple of years, I have successfully burned all kinds of movies using first DVD Shrink, which launched automatically DVD Decrypter to burn the copy. I just reformatted my HD and reinstalled. Now, the only link in the software I can find is "Burn with Nero". I noticed from the author of DVD Shrink that he has removed the "Use DVD Decrypter to burn" option. What the hell is going on? This combination was automatic and fool-proof. Now I'm supposed to run out and spend $80 to buy Nero? Does anyone know how to revert back to the versions that worked together? Thanks,

With warmest regards,
Drew Davenport

Interesting, I have the latest version of shrink, downloaded from this site and I have the option in shrink to check the box that says ISO write and burn w/decrypter.

You do not need to get Nero unless you want to.

Scenario:

Select the ISO file that you create in shrink with decrypter and start the burn process. Even if decrypter does not automatically load once shrink is finished you can open it, select the appropriate file and burn.

Just make sure you know where Shrink puts the ISO on your hard drive. I always create individual DVD folders so I know where the ISO goes.

May have a bad install. Try uninstalling it and then start over. Disable burning with Nero in the options. You can also just open up DVD Decrypter in ISO->write mode to burn your movie, I know this isn't as convenient but still works.

In some of the older versions of Shrink I think if you unchecked BURN WITH Nero it would default to burn with Decrypter. I think I read that somewhere.
