Please Help-DVD Shrink Has Suddenly Stopped Working Overnight

I've been using Shrink 3.1 for sometime now and it has burned
in full disk and re author mode every single time without even 1 coaster-until last week that is (my copy has a back up tab which burns disks so I have not needed to use Nero up till now). The last 2 recent films it has tried, it gets to the point where it analyzes the disk and just as the video preview starts the disk stops spinning and I got a failure to read disk error report (sorry, don't know the exact details). The disks were in excellent condition. Now when I tried an older film, the program still burns absolutely fine. Has something changed I do not know about and is there a way around this please? Any advice you can offer is much appreciated by this novice.

What was the movie that didn't work? Shrink stopped updating so on some newer movies Shrink will not work. You will have to use AnyDVD or something.

What brand blank are you using? What speed did you burn? Is your firmware up to date? Are you using adhesive labels? What is the name of the movie?

As GlueEater stated DVD Shrink is no longer being updated, so it cannot crack newer copy protection.

Welcome to the forum. Is there a reason you are using a real old version of Shrink. As they stated you can not do the newer movies w/ Shrink by itself and you either use DVDFAB Decrypter ( free and rip it to HD ) or AnyDVD.

Last version of Shrink 3.2.0.15:

Thanks for your help. Petulant sod that I am, I continued looking at posts which recommended using DVD Decrypter. This did not work so I tried DVD Fab Gold and what do you know, it worked. Gotta love the hustle
