HI Guys
Does anyone know a way to get DVD Shrink to automatically burn after encoding with Imgburn since it is the updated burner from the maker of DVD Decrypter. There is an option to have Shrink auto burn with Decrypter which is what I usually use but just wanted to know if there is a way to get shrink to see Imgburn?

I wonder if this is possible as imgburn was not developed when Shrink was?

Will do some looking as I have imgburn as well as decrypter but have not seen the need for it yet.

Thanks for any info, Decryptor has been working fine for me just figured since Imgburn has been updated it might be better. Of course you can always burn with Imgburn alone I was just looking to save a step.

install decrypter and afterwards overwrite the decrypter.exe with imgburn renamed to decrypter.exe

Hi Uncas I am not familiar with how to do that. If it is not to involved can you explain how. I am not good with editing registries, well I guess I have never tried to.

you dont have to fool around with the registry, nitrox

all you have to do is this:

(dvddecrypter MUST be installed!)

1. go to your folder, where decrypter is installed and rightclick "dvddecrypter.exe" => choose RENAME

rename the original exe to for example "decrypter.exe" which would be different to the original name and thus sufficient for what we want to do

2. copy the "imgburn.exe" into your decrypter folder

3. rightclick on "imgburn.exe" and rename it to "dvddecrypter.exe"

Similar question on this topic: I've been using shrink for quite awhile and it use to simply ask me for blank media after encoding and would begin to burn my disk. Apparently I've messed around and done something in the settings without realizing it and now I have to open up Nero and set up to burn the video files seperately.
Can someone point out what I do to change this back? It was so much more convenient before.

Hi ybor there is a box you can check in DVD Shrink either settings or preferences that says allow burning with Nero. If this box is checked it will auto burn as soon as your encoding has finished once isert a blank disc. Hope this helps.

Hi Uncas thanks for the info but I have another question. When you rename the Imgburn.exe file if sometimes you still wanted to use DVD Decryptor to decrypt a DVD and you dbl click the DVD Decrypter would that not load Imgburn. Imgburn does not have the capability to decrypt a disc. I guess what I am saying is that I still use the decrypt side of dvd decrytper a lot on it's own. But would like the option to show up in the burning box of DVD Shrink to use Decrypter and or Imgburn so that I could choose either one. I sorry if I am being a bit confusing.

as i said: the original dvddecrypter.exe can be renamed to something like decrypter.exe and doubleclicking this renamed exe will call the decryption-engine

I understand this process. How do you reset DVDdecrypter to open as DVDdecrypter when you want to rip with it?

An easy way would be to right click on the renamed DVD Decrypter executable(not the ImgBurn rename) and select create shortcut. Drag the new shortcut to the desktop and edit out the text so it just says DVD Decrypter and you now have access to Decryter whenever you want to rip.
