halo this halo that...common. i'm so sick of hearing about halo, it's just an average game...nothing special about it. there are much more entertaining games out there!

If it is going to be still on the Xbhox, and not Xbox 2, I'm buying. If it is still an "expansion" to Halo 2, it should come with new missions, and new plot, and new maps. They'll probably change the starting screen, too.

I think that they have to have halo 2.5/3 (whatever) already pretty much completed. To leave an ending like that and to be working on it for as long as they have, I just can't belive that's all they could come up with. Bungie and MS have always been very tight-lipped about their products, so we'll never really know what happens until they say so.
(Although my dog, who works with a blind guy, who is a programmer at bungie told me that halo 3 will be released on Dec. 9, 2010)

hey t-raxx if u dont friken like all the talk about halo,then dont be postin it here and if u cant stand all the talk about halo 2 and stuff then get out of here....and halo 2.5/3 is not gona come out on December 9 2010 u moron.....un less they are making it REALLY big and plan to make it into 3 different parts (lol) and take 6 years doin that....that would be gay and a waste of money

Cmon dude, did you hear who I heard it from? I was joking....I was saying my dog told me.
All I'm trying to say is that a whole bunch of people who think they know people who work for other people try and leak stuff out when no one really knows anything except the programmers who are working on the games. (Make sense?) I think it's silly to get info that is "leaked" and take it seriously. We have no idea what bungie's plans are.

Ok, I know you people are far better at theories than me, but did no-one else get the idea cortonna was infact betraying Master Chief and the Human race? And has someone else already put forward the idea that (if, as others have suggested, the earth IS the arc) Master Chief is going to destroy it, me likey twists. Talk to me people and peace out, whatever that means (We dont believe in peace in England).

Cortana may be a loose cannon in the AI sense, but if you've read 'The fall of Reach', she is programmed to protect humanity and the master cheif specifically.

Also, ID LOVE to see earth get blown up, I mean thats never happened before, hey, probs thats why the humans (juust go with it) built the halos in the future, for when the day would come that MC blew up earth!

Hello peeps ive heard a something new about halo 3 apparently the last level (THIS MAY BE A SPOILER). You can be all players in halo1 in the missions and the arbiter is actually a special hologram that is used to distarct the humans from stopping the new species ( i do not konow who they are) from taking a new halo in the east of space. and theirs a brother of spartan who takes control of the south defence barrier of the earths space fleat and hes blamed for a massive explosion. sos thats all i heard ill try to update this when i can

My friend has just called me his friend works at bungie and ites hopefully announced on t.v. at 6th january 2005 it will be announced halo 3 is out on 23rd of january 2005.

it seems like everyone and their brother knows someone at bungie *cough*cough*bull$hit*!
there is NO way halo 3 will come out at the end of january. why would any business release a sequal 3 months after the last one came out? then no one would buy halo 2 anymore, they would wait for halo 3. i would be willing to bet that halo 3 will be one of the last games to be released on the current xbox to drive last minute sales.
use common sense people!

I don't think Cortana is betraying the MC, she was just trying to figure out WTF gravemind is (or so I thought). NE way, hopefully we'll know something more at the beginning of next year. I think the MC will cause the ship he's hiched a ride on to crash on earth. This will give time for the Arbiter to kill the gavemind and grab Cortana, and then both of them get to earth as the MC's ship is crashing. Then you see the Arbiter land near the MC with a bunch of his boys, and the MC pulls out a grenade but then hears Cortana's voice. She explains what is going on, and then the game continues....and you get to play as the MC or the Arbiter the rest of the way. I'm not gonna speculate on what happens after that, but I'm assuming a bunch of the brutes escape while the ship is crashing.
