what does dvd shrink do? can you extract dvd movies to your hard drive with this and to what format will it be converted to. i want to scale down the filesize from 4.3gig to about 700-800mb maybe per movie how do i do that?

another question is, is there a way to directly convert dvd movies from its cd to AVI format while reducing again its file size to around 700-800mb per movie? please help, have to convert them to AVI then to MPEG-4 so i can watch it all in my ipod thanks

If you see a 700MB full-feature movie, it's because it's an AVI, and it's not in dvd format anymore. DVD Shrink is mainly for fitting dual-layer dvds onto single-layer ones. Maybe this is an ipod question.

If by extract you mean rip, yes you can do that with DVD Shrink, but you might need some additional help from time to time with another piece of free software: DVDFab Decrypter.
