Here's some background on my system/setup. (I've read the first few pages with 'solutions')
Running a P4 3.0 w/HT, 1 gig of ram, 120GB HD, using Nero Platinum 6.6. Have DMA checked on both IDE channels, not running in low priority mode, not running deep analysis either, and no anti virus/spywar programs running. And I'm not multi-tasking either, as I'm typing this up on a 2nd computer.
It used to take between 20-25 for the entire disc (encoding, burning).
I did a reformat a few months back to delete some unwanted programs and reinstalled everything.
Now on an disc it's taking between 50-60 to encode, burning times are similiar.
