DVD Shrink Burn Error

I have been having problems burning DVD's as it will burn about halfway and then give me an error. Is this because the DVD's I chose to burn had protection on them? Here is the log from the burn:

Your Nero is out of date, current version is 6.6.0.18. Your firmware is also really far behind, current is 2.FA ,here is the link for the f/w:
