i hav a 1.5 fw psp with dv 0.46
since i wanna run games that run on those frmwares i.e. 2.5 and 2.0 i need dvhook to emulate those frmwares n thats y i want a dump of those frmwares
can i run 2.0fw and 2.5 fw games with 2.71 fw
if yes then how????

u can run them by loadiing devhook and under FIRMWARE chane it to 2.71.

so u say that i can run those games bu selecting frmware 2.71??

but after i do that and select a umd (nfs-mw or fifa street 2 or winning eleven 9)the psp reboots n then the mem card flashlight blinks n then goes off n the psp just freezes up with power led still on .so is it a problem with my umd or what ????
are my dvhook settings wrong????

but i would like to tell u that i have found success in some of the games like burnout legends n socom 2 etc but the rest of them just freeze up my psp at the start up

are u sure the games are .cso and .iso? if the otehr games work then it means the the games are corrupt.

ashar16 or it can be that they are not untouched games.(fixed for the old loader)
Try to get the untouched game so they work.
2.71 FW is all you need.

since 1.5 dont support the web, will devhook able to get me online using the psp? using a 1.5+dev.46?

Yes using a 1.5+dev.46 you can use the web when you are in the 2.71 menu.(use 222Mhz CPU so it works)

Hi I've got a question, I'm using Devhook + 4gb Sandisk MS.
Sometimes intro's/movies for some games run all choppy, although the actual game works fine.
This seems to be random, for example I can have 4 different iso's on the MS, some intro's will run fine, wile others can be choppy.
Then sometimes all of a sudden a choppy intro will start running fine and vice versa. Any idea's ?

wce are your games .cso or iso?
Some games lag as .cso so try it at 333Mhz(or use the iso)

nah they are all iso games, the actual gameplay is fine, its just the intro FMV/cutscenes that lag on some ISO's wile others can be fine. Like i have an ISO on the MS, the intro runs fine, then delete/add some other ISO's then the fine one can be choppy. Likewise a choppy intro ISO can become good after a wile, weird.

nah not fake, got it from Sandisk distributor
yeh the games work fine, jsut some cutscenes lag
for example; at the moment i got Valkyrie Profile, tekken DR, prince of persia, dungeon siege on the card
VP+TDR intros work fine, dungeon siege + PoP intro's lag

i do add/delete ISO's from the card very often, do u think I need to defrag the card in windows?

Hi, I've been using DevHook ver.0.44 by booster and it was working fine til today. I Loaded a UMD game (Y's ark of naphtism) and i played it for awhile. But after i quited it, these japanese words came up. I can't play any other games (including my UMD game, when i try to run devhook this blue screen comes up "setting information is corrupted. Press the O button to repair and restore default settings." i press O and it starts up over again but then the same blue screen popped back up. Please help me to fix this.

1.Back up any files you need on your memory stick
2.Format your memory stick
3.Install DevHook 0.46 using ChaosZero's Ultimate installer.
The problem should be fixed now.
