Ok I need some help please I have flashed my eurovox tx mmds box with the latest firmware it said downloading then the numbers on the box started to increase up to 96 then it said please wait for writing. Then it said download complete. so i unplugged the box and set it up again on to the tv i did a scan and it found nothing no signal/ no channels i scrolled down to system info and it said the tv-evx-07 or something similar basically it hadnt changed. Now do i keep trying this over and over or i was think of trying to flash with the earlier firmware i.e. before the latest fix came out does anyone have a link to this or any advice please?

ok took my box to another house just to make sure it was box and not aerial setup and it found channels there relief so i came home and changed the coax going from the aerial to the power supply and hey presto im up and running its hard to say if the new firmware for the eurovox is effective as i had already manually done you know what.

jojog does you pc not have a serial connection ? i know most laptops wont have a serial but its still standard on a pc i would think. so it would be better to use serial instead of usb to serial as those usb to serial drivers often cause problems..

I have a friend on mmds in Sallins area. I hear the fix is there for this box. Any idea what box they would have? They are on chorus. Can somebody point me to a link for the fix?

Hi all,
I've just loaded the latest code (221208) into my TX. It said download complete and the TX rebooted itself. I looked at system info and it still quoted older code (071123). I;ve seen comments about this and read that factory reset and or reboot sorts this out.
I tried turning of power and back on again. I then tried a factory reset. This lost my channels and defaulted the pin code. I rescanned the channels and they came back but in a different order to what I previously had. I know my cable is working because I uploaded my previous channel order, before the system downoload, and this downloaded back in my channel order and resorted them again.
The system info is however still quoting older firmware. Is it that the revision number wasn't changed in the code?
Is there another way of testing that the frmware upgrade was a success?
I tried manually changing the last digit of the codes for both keys and rebooted to see if my channels would look to update but they stayed working?
Any ideas for a curious so and so!
i Thank you

Dont be worrying about dates , they dont change, but should reboot if and when necessary!!

Cheers DesB, not worrying just the testing bug in me (day job, whats left of it :-(, any jobs out there ;-0).
I'm not fully software savvy but good at testing and breaking.
I just thought changing the keys codes would then mean I would see the channels say "bad info updating" and the TX rolling and finding the appropriate key code again.
Thanks for the reassurance all the same,
great site with great info that gave me a bit of confidence to mess arround with the box.
i Thank you
