Sure dude.. Be sure that the movie is a mpeg-4 format. If not, download PSP Video 9. You can find it here: http://www.pspvideo9.com/ Install the program. Then open it.
In the left corner, click "Convert". Then "Transcode New Video". Open the movie and start it. When it's done, click on copy. Click on the file. Then click on "Move video to PSP" That's all Dude. Let me know if this worked or not=D

do you have to have the movie saved to your computer first, or can you do it straight from the dvd?

if you want to do it straight from dvd wolf you have to rip it with DVD Decrypter first - you have to do a direct stream copy

there was a guide on this site wether or not its still here, i couldnt tell you.

but you basicly open dvd decrypter

click mode -> the ifo -> then on your right is a little box. chose/click direct stream. then press go

(its usually the biggest file - thats the main movie)

also i may be wrong a bit up there ^^^

im writing this from memory

Raven- How many average movies can you put on 1g Memory Stick? I have been able to successfully convert an AVI file (movie)using the PSP 9 Convertor, but seems it took most of my memory.

Hey Bob- Iam also a Noob and can understand your frustration. Please research and make sure your following the steps correctly. Also, if your psp is not being read, then try going into your My Computer and locating the "Removable Drive". Members here in AfterDawn are here to assist us, but please make sure to do your homework first. Good Luck!

*please don't take this the wrong way.

Right,

i got 1 epsiode of lost season 2 (around 214mb)
and
monty pyphons life of brian on (around 450mb)
you just need to fiddle with the settings

secondly if the psp says its not conneting you can still move them over manually.
you will find your videos in c://programs/pspvideo9/videos (or something like that - again im doing this from memory, cos im at work)

then all you need to do is

create a folder a folder on your psp called
MP_ROOT
then a folder called 100MNV01 inside that

so it will be x:\\MP_ROOT\100MNV01 (x being your removable drive/psp)

and then put your movies and the other file .thp (or whatever it is)
in that folder

there your done.

my mate said he had this problem and he just copied it over anyway so just try that - but i doubt if it will work

hope this clears things up

after you have encoded the movie - yuo natually want to try and put it on your psp.

if pspvideo9 says your psp is not connected - and you know that it actually is

you can copy it off of your hard drive to your removable disk (psp in other words)

hope this has cleared things up

ok there is a way that you can do this all but you might spend some money. but for somereason it seems to be the best thing that i have found so far.

Look for PSP Media Manager.

but i mean its simple. plus it talks a little bit about DVDdecryptor, which you still need to do.

On psp video 9 when you try to copy songs onto your psp it says that you must plug in your psp even though it is plugged in and on usb mode. So i tried moving the file over to my 100MNV01 file under MP_ROOT but it said i couldnt do that. what now?

what the hell is this

I had some problems like this with Video 9 before.

Try re-installing it, that helped me.
