Ok. Im new to shrink. I've usedit for about 6 months. I however started getting those "Cylic Redundancy" errors recently on the following DVDs...Family Volume 2, Disk 2 (other 2 went fine), SeaQuest DSV(multiple disks), Scarface Special edition(from 2003).
I am wondering what settings I might have that affect this. The Errors appear while analysis is going(at 15%, 80%, 72%)ect. This disks are not corrupted since they work fine in my DVD player and PS2(the pickiest player in the world). Is there a new copyright protection put on these disks? Is it settings? Any responce would be greatly appriciated.
If it is new copyright protection, is there any program that will remove it as easily and have compressability settings as Shrink did?

It sounds like Copy Protection, a program like DVDFab Decrypter may do it or AnyDVD. If your lucky maybe even DVD Decrypter will do it.

Oh. Forgot a MAJOR DETAIL. Tryed it in DvDDecrytor...it stops with "error" messages. AnyDVD does remove the code, but it still does redundancy error. I've tryed DVDFab and it didn;t copy all of it. Same with DVD43.

A scratched disk can be played on a DVD player but not a DVDROM. Cyclic redundancy are caused by either a bad disk, a poorly pressed disk or a faulty drive. Nothing to do with the software or copy protection. I faced such problems sometimes but when I used another drive, it works.
I always recommend two drives for each system - the more the merrier.

I guess it depends on the drive, I've had some pretty bad discs and they have read fine. Go figure.

Question about the drive. I am running of my laptop. HP zd8000 series. Would that have anything to do with it. The disk however is NOT SCRATCHED. It is brand new and out of the box.

I also use a Notebook DVD drive, i have never had these problems, i did have this one drive once that did something similar and it turned out the laser lens was bad. I hope thats not your problem. (this drive was an external one.)
