Just bought a (50pk) spindel of Sony DVD-R for 27.99 at Wal-Mart. Pretty good deal, huh? This media has rarely let me down and the price is fabulous!!! Any feedback is appreciated.

actually, i believe the Sony 50 packs will be $14.99 this upcoming week locally...don't remember where...either bestbuy or staples or some other place...so, you paid almost DOUBLE for your Sony's @ wal-mart...sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that price you paid is WAYYYY too much...especially if you got the MIT ones~ :)

Sam's Wholesale carries the 75 pack of Sony +R for $29.95. Verbatims for $39 per 100. Bascially either for 40 cents each. The Staples deal is a bit better.

To all those who suggested I paid too much for this media, here is what I found. I went to (3) retail locations today in pursuit of the best "bang for my buck" media. I don't know where you guys are located that profess to get (50pk) spindles of Sony DVD-R, not CD-R for $19.99. That is a joke. At Best Buy, they were ($39.99), at Circuit City they were ($37.99). and at CompUsa they were ($34.99). I did indeed get a bargain!!! Thank-you very much.

FYI....... i live in south central texas......... and tomorrow, i will go to my local best buy and pick up a spool of 50 sony or fuji.. for under 20 bucks..
office depot will have a sale, staples, so will other retailers.
tomorrow, look here, someone will post, who, what, where, and for the WHOLE week... its done here every week, for the past.........long long time...
i am sure there are others who will back me on this.... not to mention, point out all the sales to you..thank you very much !! s/a

Best Buy will have a media sale pretty much once a week. Usually SOny fuji or verbs. And because it's every week they don't have time to change the label everyonce in a while. You just take it to the register even though it may say 30 bucks on the rack.

FYI: I really don't care where you live. I'm in Best Buy all the time and I have never witnessed the "sales" you claim to enjoy.
In addition I don't see your "back-up" anywhere. Tell you what, quit smoking crack and post your receipt the next time you putchase "your" bargain. (a/h)

essay, you seriously need to CHILL...i am here to "back-up" gear right now...just because YOU chose to go to your various local retailers when THEY WERE NOT HAVING THE SALE, what gives you the right to cope an attitude? are you simply so overwhelmed with anger that you paid TOO much for your media so you take it out on other members that are only trying to SAVE YOU SOME MONEY???

Here is the proof, a scan of a reciept for some Sony 50 packs that i actually got for 12.50 because i used a reward zone cupon but they were on sale for 14.99 each no joke.. And smoking crack aint all its cracked up to be.. LOL.. :) I crack myself up sometimes... hah.. too much fun.. :P

Sometimes stuff goes on sale, maybe that week BB didn't have that sale, but i bet next week they had something on sale. Maybe you're the one smokin crack..:) I see DVD media sales at BB all the time. I forgot to mention that is here on planet earth, might be higher on another planet due to shipping charges..

man........ after all the crack i smoked......... i woke up sunday morning to read my paper........... and LOW AND BEHOLD........
i found a 100 pack of sony dvd's for........... $29.99...
then i had to go outside and smoke a bit more crack, only to find more deals @ best buy again..
thanks to doc, saugmon, gamename, scuba and maxburn for backing me up, not that i needed it, but is nice to have buddies here anyway.
oh, and by the way essay, you said you did not where we lived to state these claims, so i merely told you, but with an attitude like yours, i am sure you will make friends fast....
