DVD Shrink won't run!

I downloaded and installed DVD Shrink on my laptop using Windows XP Professional but when I click on the shortcut to run DVD Shrink, it won't run. I see the hourglass for about 1 second but then nothing further happens. My daughter and her friend loaded on their laptops and it runs fine but not my laptop. What is my problem?? How can I fix?? Welcome to the forum. Have you tried to uninstall the program then re-boot and then re-install.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I have tried that a couple of times but with same results. Everything seems to be loaded the same as on my daughter's laptop - the files in the directories look the same, etc. but when I double-click the desktop icon, I only see the hourglass for a split second and the program does not load. It's got me all confounded! I haven't had any problem with other programs I have loaded, just this problem with DVD Shrink. Any other suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks, John Zobbia

Try deleting the desktop Icon and then go into Start > Programs > DVDShrink and now drag the DVDShrink icon to the desktop and see if that works. There really has to be a simple answer but I can not figure this one out except the above

Can you even use Shrink by clicking on the Icon the the program directory?

I tried both of your suggestions and still the program won't start. I just see the hour glass for a split second and that's all. If you think of anything else, I'm all ears and certainly appreciate your help. John Zobbia
