I have dvd shrink and for some reason it takes over and hour sometime longer to just analysis the dvd before getting to anything else. I have 1 gig of memory and plenty of space on my hard drive I'm running windows xp and it did work about a week ago and now all of a sudden it won't. Dvd decrypter also takes for ever. I also have run a spyware check and that came out alright. Any help would be most appericated thank you

Starting with the basics, check to see if DMA has been turned on for all drives, some times they may revert to the much slower PIO mode.

Here's how: http://www.burstcopy.com/dma/xp/

Make sure shrink is not set to run in low priority mode
Trun off any other apps running while using shrink/decrypter

You might also want to check and make sure your drive's firmware is upto date (these updates can also enhance performance).

just enter the model# in the search field and go...
Note: you can also use decrypter to check for you and update.
