Hey I have a GC modded with the XenoGC modchip. I was wondering if theres a way to make bootable N64 games on it. I remember using my BBA and PSO to play MKart64 on it. kthx.

There is, but I never bothered learning how.
There are a few ways to go about it. Things like using the one Nintendo made when they ported Zelda to the GC to play other roms by injecting them and putting a bunch on the same disc. Someone else could probably explain it better.
I think there are homebrew emulators that have been ported over from the PC as well, but those don't seem to work nearly as well as the Zelda one as I recall.

Could someone be kind enough to set up a download of the Zelda N64 emulator ROM. I would love to try to inject a few classic Roms and create an ISO. I found the injector but can't seem to find the Zelda Emu.
Thanks, greatly appreciated.

Three is still better than one. There's only a few Rom's I really want.

what I was trying to get at is the capacity the disc can hold and still have all the roms boot well. typically we have 1.46 gigs of space, how much memory can 1 n64 rom possibly occupy? I have a backup of a n64 game on my pc right now that's 32mbs "mario party 3".
so is 3 the magic number? or can we add more?
thanks for the replys.

Get the Viper Multiboot ISO Creator. It'll let you fill up as much space as possible.
And yes, it works on more than just Viper chips.

Alrite I got it working, it boots with no problems right in Mkart64.
Here's what I did.
Using Pheonix I loaded MKart64 and took the hidden file it makes when trying to stream the rom, "n64.iso".
Then I used "FSTFIX 1.5F" to rebuild the iso to a managable size.
c:\FSTFIX.EXE "N64.ISO" f
takes awhile so be patient.
Burned using Nero 6.
Inserted into XenoGC modded GameCube and behold it works.
There's still a few things I want to know. -
Can I use 1 DVD for multiple roms(1 ritek04 for a 20MB n64 rom is a waste)?
Is there a way to hex edit the rom so everything is unlocked, sorta like what GameShark does but in a permanent manner?
Wonder if there can be network play, maybe with GCARS?
And finally, are there any new N64 emu's released for the GC. The loader Pheonix uses the loader from the OoT:MasterQuest disk. I heard a collectors edition version came out featuring Majora's Mask. Has this version been released, and if so any new compatible games?(really hoping for Super Smash Brothers)

Sure you can.

Yeah, but if for some reason you edit the wrong lines of code you could cause the game to be unstable.
Quote: Wonder if there can be network play, maybe with GCARS?
I don't see why not. Then again, you'd have to have people to play with, and since not too many people use GCARS with even less people using it for N64 network play, the odds of playing against anyone at all is nearly nonexistent.

Not a clue. But I'm willing to bet it's the same emulator with slight modifications for optimal performance with Majora's Mask.

I'm pretty sure there isn't save support since the only emulator I remember supporting saves is the SNES GX emulator
