eMule not reading eDonkey .temp files

I have tried copying the temp files from eDonkey into the temp folder for emule; Directing emule to look in eDonkey's temp folder....and still, either way I do it, it shows NO downloads. I'm sure its probably something simple...but maybe someone could point me in the right direction...so I can delete eDonkey.
