I would like to know how I can clear up the graininess from my video files. convert with winavi and the look fine from the previews but once i burn them to disc and play them on stand alone dvd they are grainy. Does anyone know of a way to make my downloaded files clearer

I am a newbie, but I would like to know what is a good software for burning my downloaded video files to disk. I have to use nero but it takes forever to transcode files off of my hard drive to dvd. I have already brought two programs don't want waste any more money

if you mean grainy as in pixelated, its completely expected, its the shift from a smaller screen to a larger screen.

it always depends on the quality settings contained in the original AVI file to start with.
