i have tried a few movies and when i go to open the disc i get invalid dvdnavigation structure any ideas would help great thanks

Welcome to the forum. D/L the trial version of AnyDVD ( free 21 day trial) and then use that w/ Shrink as that error means Shrink can not decrypt the movie

Make sure your using the latest AnyDVD - 5.8.3.1. If that's the case why not dl CloneDVD also? Can also try for 21 days free. So far there hasn't been a movie this combo can't do.
Another option - rip with dvd fab decrypter then open the files in shrink and process as usual.

The updated version of AnyDVD takes care of that error. That error is about the encryption Shrink can not do. You need to make sure AnyDVD is Running in the backgraound as it does all of the current movies unless you have a bad disk.
You can also rip the DVD to HD using DVDDecrypter in iso Read mode and then use Shrink to Open Disk Image DVDD makes and then you can process accordingly.
