many people are making the argument on how hard it is going to be programming for PS3, how long games will take..etc, but it seems that sony is getting some much needed support as developers now have another tool to ease the process thanks to Kynogon as they made Kynapse 4.0 available for use. sony also had the support of SpeedTree a foliage middleware company along with Havoc (physics/character animation) etc. also did i forget to mention that sony not only in the past month acquired Guerrilla Games but has also aquired the developer zipper interactive (makers behind the socom series), maybe a no brainer but none the less good news for sony.

Programming for the PS3 WILL be hard mostly because of the Cell processor. But I think it'll be more troublesome making games for the XBox 360. Because of the necessicity of making every game able to play on a Core system. A game developer might end up having to code a game that relies heavily on the hard drive to completely ignore it and also the question of storage space and compression.

Please, know what you are talking about. PS3 IS far more easier to program compairing to the ps2. The artiicles you read are saying that games are easier to develop fr the xbox360. That does'nt make the ps3 hard to program for. They just have to get use to it, because it's new, once game developers do get used to it, they can max out the ps3, and eventually it will be very easy to program the ps3.
