problem w/dvd shrink please help

I've used dvd shrink a couple of times to backup 24. I went to try and do that today, and my problem is when I go to backup where it says at the bottom space required and space availible the space availible is about a gig smaller than the space required. I used it yesterday to backup a disc and it worked, and after today I stumbled across this problem I went back to see if I could burn the dvd that I was succesful in burning yesterday and I cant do that either. Its not that the data wont fit standard 4.7 dvd. I dont know what to do please help

i dont know if you are talking about space available on the disc, or on your hd. check to see if your hd is full.

Madair is right about the space. If you only have 6 gigs available a temporary folder is used to make the process which uses space as well. If you have two hard drives then try burning to the other. Otherwise you will have to make room on you current drive or buy another!

I tried to copy 24 and 2, 4, 6 worked but I couldn't get 1 to give me a crisp recording. I think it had to do with my DVD's being cheap.

thomasabc,
You need to start deleting what data you do not need. Also if you are using Norton SystemWorks then you will need to empty the Norton files in the recycle bin
