Gamestop lists Sony Playstation 3 Games available for pre-order. Shipping date is 1st of October!

Video Game retailer Gamestop has 32 Sony PS3 games listed for pre-order. (Visit Gamestop and search for PS3 to see the list). Basically you can get in line first to get this games shipped to you when they are available.
I am not sure if October 1st is best guess by Gamestop or if they already know the Sony PS3 launch date. All PS3 games sell for $59.99. See the list below.

Only Metal Gear Solid 4 has a shipping date of 1st of December, all others are marked with October 1st.

They did the samething last year for the 360 except it said nov 1

styrfe.. im only asking this because i didnt follow the 360 and their games too closely, but when you said they did the same thing except for nov. 1. where the titles they listed luanch titles or were they just titles in general that would eventually release on 360??

Most of them were launch titles but some of them were titles that were to come out in late 2006. Example they had Gears of War for Nov1 and Elder Scroll for Nov1 then it was eventually changed to their actual release date. I think what they do is take all the games that are supposedly coming out for the system and give it a Oct1 release date, you know to give the system more hype. But as the store gets actual release information from sony they will eventually change the release date of the system and their games. My advice, if you want to buy the system on release date, wait for sony to give the actual release date of the system and that very day put down $50 at your local EB or Gamestop. That way you wont have to wait in line at Best Buy for 12 hours.
