Yeah that's a good idea. I didn't mean it like that, I could care less who has their originals.

when i ripped the game, i usually check the cd for anything odd in iso buster and this is what i found:
Are the circled portions dummy files? if so would i remove all of them?

Doesn't look like dummy files. Usually they'd be dummy.dat, when you see the iso has dummy files.i.e 00DUMMY. 01DUMMY. GARBAGE ETC

I wasn't sure, i've heard of dummy files, but i never encountered one. I just thought because of the similiar name and size and my lack of experience with dummy files that that is what they were.

I don't know if this will help anyone but i was able to get past the dnas authentication with a backup disk. However, once I joined a briefing room I got a message saying I was using a cheating device. It said something like this is the first time you have been caught... any more attempts at cheating will get your account banned from the socom 3 servers. I tried again using the cd loader and got the message saying i was caught twice and was banned for 1 hour. Is there a way for them to look for something on the disk before they allow you into a briefing room?

Your patched DNA's will get you past the check, but that's about it. If you keep this up, your console will be banned and you won't be able to play online at all. There's a big difference in getting IP banned and console ID banned.

You should be able to copy Socom 3 just fine and play the single player missions. Online is a no go, as you've read because of server side devices.
Be warned tho, you can complete all the missions in single player on Socom 3 in about 3 hours of continuous play.

ISO>READ and ISO>WRITE with DVD Decrypter, or you can use Alcohol 120%, that works really good too. And I can't remember if you need to use ZoneLoader or not, if it doesn't load up the first time, then use ZL.

PS2nfo wont accept either one of my email addresses so where else can I download zoneloader??
OK nevermind I got the file now. Now what are the steps for using this zoneloader image. I tried to open the readme but it gave me an error.

If you burn it to DVD, use DVD Decrypter. If your burning it to CD, use these diretions: Use Alcohol 120%. Open Alcohol. Go to file open, and browse to the iso. Right click it and go to image burning wizard. Set the write speed to 4x, the write method to DAO/SAO, the data type to PS2, and select your recorder, click next.

No mine works just fine so far with swapping it. Sometimes people shrink certain files in the game which might make it not work just right. So your image may work but who knows if it will play all the way through without locking up or something like that.
