You can't update the program.. click cancel instead of update.. and then in the options disable "look for update" option.

Thanks a lot. Before being a regular to AD, I managed to find a few of the essential files. Half were corrupted or had viruses. But this is great. They are gold to me. Will you accept a check or do I need to give you my credit card #? Thanks, codydog.

Well the preview version is the freeware version. Otherwise you have to pay for it. The preview version works fine, just don't try to update it. It'll serve your needs.

This wasn't the place to ask your question.. but i'll answer it for you.. basically a "sticky" stays at the top of the board "in bold".. so hence the name "sticky"

I was looking at this thread by Ace_2 http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/337567 and think someone needs to do some homework. It's been a long time since the MC exploit (Independence Exploit) has been used. PS2nfo & PS2HD both claim that it died when $ony locked it out on slimline v12+. Thanks to Ace_2 hard work, now it does work. Hell yeah!
So will ExecFTP & WinHiip work with slimline PS2 w/new exploit? IF SO, then those programs could be posted here. Reality media player running off HDD using the exploit would be sweet.

yeah, I don't mind hosting whatever really.. but I realy don't see the point in memory exploits.. unless they can do something that swap magic can't?... I'm a bit rusty on some of the PS2 stuff now as I have a lot of other stuff going on, LOL :)

Well the nice thing is you can configure them to do anything. An exploit can allow you to boot PSX/PS2 backups, emus, FTP, HD Loader, etc. The downside is you need a means to boot burned CD-R's, and it's very tricky to compile. I gave uo answering exploit threads a long time ago, too confusing and redundant. People read it's free and jump out of the their chair, but it will take someone hours and hours to get it working right, never read a post by someone who zipped through compiling an exploit with no probs. There's too many steps involved, especially for people new to the backup scene. A modchip does all the same things, and does them better. Yes it costs money, but if you're already paying $30 for Swap Magic or ARMAX to boot the exploit disc, there's no point in not paying more and getting a chip. A chip+installation+shipping=$115. In my opinion, that money is worth less than the time I'll spend compiling an exploit.

Yeah, I'd agree with that... it does seem like a lot of effort for something that personally I wouldn't use anyway... hell I could wire in my own modchip if I wanted and you can get some good prices for them now... and it'd take less time/effort.. I used to do electronics at college for a while way back.. so a little brushing up on the skills is all I'd need.
I might have to go that route at some point, but it'll probably be either when the PS2 I have now breaks down in some way or the swap discs give out on me... either way I'll probably just get a new PS2 per-modded and use this one as experiments... MMUUUhaahahahahahahahahaaaaa!!! LOL :)
