If you are using a router, then you can use a ethernet cable. If you are directly connecting your laptop to your xbox, the you need a crossover cable.
Floz99 make a new thread and post your problem there. Also, get rid of your email address in your post as it's against the forum rules.

no u dont need a router, if u want to link to ur pc u can also ur a crossover cable

Wtf then some one help me..
I got the NewDashboard And evry thing.. But i Deleted all of the linux Files Off my Xbox When i got the new Dashboard is this bad?
Im stuck and this new Dashboard EvoX or something.. And i cant do much on it.. I cant even go to my own memory card can some one tell me wtf is going on thx..

i have evo x, ya u can do is put more stuff in the apps menu and have more dash's and linux and all that

no.. i have xbox-hq.com at the top of my dashbaord and says evox dash with (play games from hard drive) (Xbox Game Trainers etc...
And when i click play games from hard drive nothing happens and its empty and one know wtf is going on? thx

and i think it says erroe 21 at the top

Floz. You are very close to being able to FTP. FTP is File Transfer Protocol and it is the method used to access the files on you xbox. Under your Menu Go to System Configuration. What are the next options? It should be like Settings or Network Settings or Network Configuration or something like that. List the options under System Configuration, please.
