I have an Xbox USB convertor, so i can use the Xbox control, but it's a mutha to map keys lol. Does it allow for gamepad and keyboard combo - that being GP for gameplay and KB for menus etc?

yeah see that usb converter sh!t aint the way to go cause not many games directly support it.However the new xbox 360(wired) controller will work directly for the pc and it's being supported by the newer games.I really like that ms did that cause it eliminates the need for adapters.

Yeah. MS really have struck me as a company who deliver what the general consumer wants right from the get go! They had four ports for the Xbox, whereas Sony refused to do so, and insisted on making us pay for multi-taps! Now that is true customer service I think.

ahh... I'm not so sure.ps2 had dvd playback right out of the box while xbox made you pay for a playback kit.I mean I think ms is a good company but I sometimes think their monopolizing and greedy too.I think ms should have good service because they have lot's of money.
I get annoyed when I see bill gates getting all this credit for giving money to charity. You know anybody would give lots to charity if they were the richest person in the world.I sure would.Don't get me wrong I think it's great he does I just aint so impressed. This guy got time magazine's man of the year for that sh!t lol.

In proportion to his earnings, I'm sure he's not that much of a charitable person. If iwas that rich, I'd be giving out some hardcore cash to random people in need... And besides, I think people like the firefighters from 9/11 or other true heroes should get the Time magazine award. What a w*nk - I really hate the way the media (and the world) works so don't get me started lol. Thats a very good point you make about the DVD playback! Almost forgot about it. By the way, whats the deal with the PS3? Is it going to feature a DVD remote like the Xbox 360 deluxe pack does? And by the way, can you network PSP and play UMD movies through your TV while we're on the subject of DVD playback etc.?

Not sure if it will have a remote out of the box or not but ps2 didn't need one cause you could use the contoller which is cooler anyways plus they will be wireless this go around.
sony says the ps3 will work with psp so I guess yes.I wouldn't want to see a umd movie played thru a network though.I would just get a dvd or bluray movie.

Yeah true, though if you spend 30 bucks on a UMD (which by the way I would never even bother doing unless it was one of my absolute favorite movies) you might as well get some use out of it. Good point - who needs a remote when you have wireless/bluetooth controllers? The lack of Dual Shock rumble function is gonna suck, but I guess Logitech or some other quality 3rd party peripheral developer will make one with it. Or would the games not be coded with vibration function or something like that? Do games need to be specially coded to comply with Vibration Function? Now i've confused myself...

Man damn your right.why would the publisher's make rumble support for a system without a default rumbepad. You know I was one who said"don't worry about lack of rumble ,just get a third party controller".But now even I'm doubtful and confused.
However with linux the third party gamepads could come with software that emulates rumble .I know it has to be coded to work but linux opens a world of questions and possibilities.

why dont they just design a system or consol add-on ps3, if u put on some kind of special glass u will be in the game and it will be realistic, imagine driving a fast car in the game rather than using the controler to control it
or maybe just my imagination

You mean like virtual reality? They tryed it for years now and it always sucks. Anyone remember virtua boy from nintendo? I didn't have one but I remember them.
I have always thought that would be great but they can't seem to make it happen.Forget the car dude, what about having sex with some hot chick you could never get in real life. Now that would be awesome!
