hate to say it but that didnt do the trick this was your first time using clonedvd2 , the reason why it worked is because you didnt do all features and main menu , try it again via with everything menu features etc etc and let me konw if it works , it should due to this being a beta version ( reports on .4 has also been offical) better yet if you tried AnyDVD and clonedvd2 just movie im sure it would of copied it with the non beta version
is this a beta version or offical? my AnyDVD hasnt remided me , wow first time cuz its checked marked to remind me ( ledgit purchase) and its on start up , should i contact slysoft about it ?

[quote=paschal93]vkn interested in more information using ripit4me first are you using the 1.6.4.0? Second when you said the disk did not read can please try to start ripit4me then insert disk once you get the notification about the autoplay being blocked then play the dvd using any kind of software player for a few seconds, then try using the one click method to rip the dvd. Also be sure AnyDVD is not running. Thank You.
yes i am using 1.6.4.0.
ok i did what you said (opened ripit4me then autorun prevent.. blabla then tried to run the dvd with powerdvd7, but this time powerdvd freezes, now trying WM 11 and same result don't play but WM11 doesn't crashes just doesn't play
normally ripit4me just crashes (send don't send thing you know)

Txs for posting all your results.
My guess is slysoft and ripit4me will continue to work it.
I'd send the info to them.
Your LiteOn can use a firmware update - several behind - the latest is KS0B. Probably won't help in ripping this one but might help the insert empty disc message in Nero.

try ripping it to the HD with the AnyDVD ripping checking the box "Remove unreferenced and blank cells" then transcode with CloneDVD 2 "doing the movie only" and burn , i bet this method will work
We shall go to the end,we shall fight in France,we shall fight on the seas and oceans,we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air,we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be,we shall fight on the beaches,we shall fight on the landing grounds,we shall fight in the fields and in the streets,we shall fight in the hills;we shall never surrender

Yeah I think it's just a matter of time before they get this one working out.
99 vts files with 40 bad sectors - they really pulled out all the stops.

Heck even the developer of FixVTS didn't account for it. (now does)
With all this crap on it I wonder if it will give older players and drives problems playing it. Don't know.

DVD Shrink is actually better than clonedvd2 for making the picture quality better doesn't matter which one u use with AnyDVD since AnyDVD does the work of removing the copy protections alone, clonedvd2 doesnt do nothin in that reguard.

The best I can understand the copy protection shouldn't have anything to do with the players. What's being added is different from the CSS encryption that DVD players were original set up with. The new copy protections are meant to cause problems for recording and leave the playing alone. I've not heard of any players, even older ones having problems with factory DVDs. The factory discs use the universal playing format DVD ROM and all players are set to play that. Some of the compatibility problems with copies come from the recordable formats not being supported.
You probably knew all that already, but maybe it'll help someone else. Just thought I'd toss it in. Some beginners think encryption and don't realize what the studios are doing with the additional copy protections in addition to the original CSS encryption and region codes.

If I'm going to watch it on a 60" screen, I'm interested in quality. Shrink is a decent transcoder and a top freeware app. But with encoders, there is better quality. Encoders take more time and in some cases a cash investment in software. There's times I've relied on Shrink when some other programs wouldn't work. It's a good idea to keep an open mind and have as many apps as you think reasonable. Having at least a couple of the top ones comes in handy. Since Shrink is free, it's a no brainer to have it or at least know where to get it and use it. Friends of mine use RipIt4me which includes Shrink as the transcoder and they're happy with picture quality on their big screens. So, yes, quality is an issue.

Txs PacMan777 for the info
I guess my thinking was at some point maybe all this crap might affect some players.
I think vkn's point was more less 1st they need to get a playable copy somehow 1st.
Yes quality is important but with all the problems with this one right now 1step may just be getting a playable copy.

Have you tried to blank or delete some of those useless menus with PgcEdit or VobBlanker? Sometimes there are tons of junks hiden inside the Main Menu and that will likely to corrupt or cripple your backup to play. Sometimes, the only way to get rid of those corrupted/bogus cells or pgcs is to blank/delete them out.
