Yeah, we are - how many people you know with less than 3 kids. My mum comes from a family of 8 kids. There are four kids in ours. We're like rabbits - admit it :-D

I'll choose my words anyway i want man....... hehe

Oriphus, no we are not that bad at all man compaired to the rest of the world. Wheras we might fuck a lot, we dont drop bombs on innocent civilians (well unless ur an IRA man, which 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of the country isnt), we fight for peace in the world and for that countries mock us but I laugh and say, when you're at war and ill be at home.............. and its absolutely no secret that some of the women in this country are of the nicest in the world (especially cork women).

So our bad points?? ok we have a dumbass government, no offense but we need a new government because the one we have just care about money, wheras a government like sinn fein would care about the country and actually do something worth while! We have a compulsery recycling service that will be sold in years to come when it becomes profitable and we will be making billions for a few people, and it will be against the law not to recycle? fuck that! And not to mention this ban from Jan 2004 on, no smoking in pubs, clubs, restaurants etc etc, The government say - It's for health reasons, WRONG!!! its because the money made on tax from cigs will no longer be enough to pay for the illnesses related to it when people who need benefit to pay for health care over it. Also its like a publicity stunt, WATCH US WORLD! So ye I'm annoyed with my government, especially when some bitch thinks she can spend what was it? 20,000 euro of tax payers money on chocolate! That's insanity if i ever saw it! Step aside Bertie, and how dare you say the Irish people supported the war on iraq after 100,000 people rallied against it in dublin, not bad for a republic of about 3.5 million!

Ok OK, i gotta stop now! lol I could go on and on but, lets move on shall we?? ....

Im feeling you Dela, although i am unfortunately run from across waters, i still understand the issues you are raising. It really really pisses me off whenever the government just waste money on stupid things. I remember two years ago the government spent £25million on a piece of art that they thought should stay in the UK. A piece of feckin ART???? Jesus Christ there are people starvin and they are spending money on art????? Also, why spend so much on the Millenium dome and other stupid schemes. Why do we squander so much money???? If all the countries in the world cut 10% of their defence budget - third world debt could be written off and starving people could be fed. This planet is full of complete fuck-ups running the countries. It really pisses me off. Atleast, if Sinn Fein were running the Irish governemnt, there would be a greater sense of well-being of the country. Sinn Fein care, most governments dont.

Whats the thing about 20,000euros spent on choclate?? Also, how do u do a Euro sign on the computer? :-D

???????????????????????????????????????????

I must say, art is a derivative of culture and if we don't enthusiastically embrace it, we will lose our souls.

As many have already.

I have no problem with art as a whole. However, a piece of art is not worth £25 million to a country that has welfare to pay, etc...There are very similar paintings to ones that are worth so much, so why not spend on those if it is the painting that helps our culture. the reason people buy the art is for symbolism. A status symbol or something. By the governemnt spending money on a £25 mmillion piece of art, has it helped 99% of the nations people to realise our culture. NO. In fact, the 1% of the people it has had an impact on are more likely to be middle to upper class anyway, so it is ironic that the money spent on the art, which could be spent on the poor, is only enjoyed by a majority of rich.

? - cool

All newbs will post repeat threads at first, it just happens, but then they will learn not to, and become your typical bitter veteran posters, who get angry at newbies who repeat post, it all works out.
