That's why I only use tested and known CFW's as 3.71 M33-3 with the f0 fix for Remote Start works perfectly. As for getting it to work in HX...I don't know.

Do you need to do chilly Wille's KeyCleaner even if you copied the .psar stuff?

Its probably because one of the folders is hidden. Try going to control panel and folder options then view and check the box for show hidden files and folders.

Quote: Download Sony Official Firmware 3.72
Download M33_NEWPSARDUMPER from DA's Site
Extract data.psar from 3.72 eboot with PBP Unpacker (not sure if this was necessary or not)
Open USB Connection and put 3.72 eboot and data.psar in root of mem stick
Put PSARDUMPER in Game (make sure kernel is on 3.71 in recovery menu)
Run Psardumper
Press Square
After it's done dumping, open USB Connection and copy premo_plugin.prx (f0\vsh\module) and premo_plugin.rco (f0\vsh\resource) and paste them somewhere for safe keeping
You can delete f0 now
Open recovery menu on PSP (right bumper and turn on with PSP still connected to PC)
Go to advanced
Select Toggle USB (flash0)
A new window should pop up on your PC
Make sure you have hidden files and system files viewable
Replace premo_plugin.prx (vsh\module) and premo_plugin.rco (vsh\resource) with the ones you copied
Select Toggle USB (flash0) to disable
Restart PSP
I dont have the folder vsh\module in my flash0 folder. I am on firmware 3.72 M33-3 with the 1.50 Kernel installed.

Never mind, I needed to view system files and folders in Windows XP, not just Hidden files and folders.

You need to view hidden files and folders and on some cases, View system files and folders. To do this, go to My Computer -> Tools -> Folder Options -> View and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" and check "Show hidden files and folders" After you are done working with the PSP, you can recheck "Hide protected operating system files" which I recommend.

Performed all steps mentioned above, when i try to remote play using the ps3's wireless lan, the psp tells me: "A system software update for the PSP system is required."
I followed all steps above, I'm @3.71 m33-3 under system information, and in recovery menu I'm @3.71 Kernel.
My ps3 is @2.01 update.
The internet method simply doesn't connect, im guessing because of this reason.
Anyone know why this might be messing up?

This was a fix to the PS3 update 2.0, Sony might have done something else so that it doesn't work on a 2.01 PS3

Well if this guy is right, that shouldn't be the case. Is there a sure fire way that might require lots of time to get it working? like how people reformat their pc. or maybe something easier?

Wasn't sure how to edit my old one, but the problem was stupid.
I showed hidden files and folders, but forgot to check the option to show system os files as well. Did that, copied the rco, psx, works.
The internet one is still giving me trouble though, turns the ps3 on, but refuses to remote connect. This is probably a problem with my router though.

I'm also running into the issue of not being able to register my psp with my PS3.
Do I need to run chilly willy's app to clear keys or can I just go straight to the m33-3 walkthrough? (This is the firmware I currently have installed on my system.)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to run KeyCleaner before the PS3 sees your PSP as it should. Use v1.4 of keycleaner, as it doesnt require any additional files to repair your keys. Once that is done, follow the walkthrough for M33-3 posted above and you should be fine.

Needed to bring this thread back up as I am having connection issues but only when I choose via Internet not via Network. It's really weird, I can use my home network to connect for Remote Play but I can't via Internet. I had upgraded to 3.80 M33-5 and it was working fine but then I went to 3.90 M33-2 and it hasn't been able to connect for a bit over 2 weeks now.
It would be safe to assume that the old 2.71 PRX hack/work around would have been written over when I upgraded...right? So what could it be? I had my router setup perfectly with port forwarding & UPnP when it was working and also tried it without any port forwarding & UPnP just to check and still nothing. I'm stuck!? Any suggestions?

Hello. I too have the same problem. PSP Slim 3.90 M33. Via Private Network works fine but via Internet give an error after trying to connect for a while. Any ideas?
P.S. My PS3 isn't connected via a router but directly. Is that a problem?
