I delete and replace all the time with no problems. Overwriting doesn't work with all themes, they don't contain the same files with each theme, some have paf.prx etc, others don't.

ok connect psp to computer via usb cable double click the 1.50 recovery winstaller now it will ask you where you want to extract files choose removable disc and the programme will extract the files to the right folder now turn psp off and boot the recovery menu and select run programme at psp/game/recovery/eboot
within a few seconds you will be back on 1.50 with a fully working psp
now you can flash it up t0 3.40 oe but i recomend 3.52 m33

um... tayshero.
he cant access recovery or ANYTHING. its called a FULL brick. GOD forbid the day i have one.
no accessing to flash.
dude if i were him, i would just send it to the guy on eBay.
he uses the same process as sony. id say hes a sony veteran or something like that, that got fired, so he slipped a jump battery and the special memstick in his pocket on the way out the door. :)

well, i think it might be better for him to just send it to the dude.
a new PSP will be anti-hombrew-ized. 3.51-3.52
but no fear. Sony will finally make homebrew usable for official PSPs.
when, i dont know.
but i cant w8! (even though im running 3.40 OE..) lol

It usually means that someone has returned it to the factory, either as not working or damaged in some way. Then they have "re-furbished" it and passed it on as "near new" condition but for a lower price.

I dont think they update them when they are just going to sell them as refurbished like that..They just leave them at the firmware they were on when they came into the factory...I know like the refurbished ones at gamestop are all either 2.71 or 2.82...

nice. cheaper PSPs, basically new, that can be downgraded!!
sounds good to me right?
the thing with downgrading though is how d_A and noobz makes their downgraders scary looking. black screen with white and pink text. it makes you more nervous. (esp. when its your first dg.)
they should start making them look like the official upgrades. ;)

That's something i've always wondered about, what do the official updates look like? (I've never used one or seen one being done)

Wow, you must have had a PSP for a long time and been in the homebrew community for a long time. I always updated until i learned about the homebrew community, I'm now happy running 3.52 M33-4.
