Use shrink and Imgburn combo. Much better. Link is for using shrink and to autoburn with Imgburn.

DO NOT autoburn using nero 8 when transcoding with dvd shrink. Create an image to your HDD then burn with nero or better yet use imgburn.
Also make sure your using good blank media like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim even Sony burning at 6x to 8x max

When I ripped National Treasure 2, I use the customize function on dvdfab platinum (keeping english language, commentaries, and english subtitles), as I do with all my disks.

If doing movie only, try trimming the first 4 seconds off the movie and burn to good media (not crappy media) and don't burn at max speed.
99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

The first few seconds are black screen and for some it tends to hang. Most likely the beginning of this movie has a couple of bad cells. This is not uncommon. There have been many movies with this. It simply means that not every piece of the copy protection was removed so the user does it manually.

@mydrok, glad you tried Imgburn. IMHO best burning engine out there. Much more stable than Nero.
BTW keep on burnin and posting. Welcome to aD.

O.k. I guess I still need some help with this one. Natonal Treasure 2. I did a full disk backup with dvd shrink. Copied it as an iso to my hard disk and burned with imgBurn. The burn process worked fine. When I play the dvd it plays the opening disney movie montage and then turns off. I can't get to the main movie with title buttons or watch anything other than the opening montage without the dvd just turning off.....any suggestions would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks

the bad sector is after the disney castle where the sound lightning strikes and the tree in the small box that's where it freezes. i got around it by skipping past to next channel and the going in reverse medium motion to where the movie starts and that worked on my stand alone player. If you can use your program to blank the sound lightning section before burn you'll have it. Or like others have said just cut off the start of the movie past the problem!

Burned Untraceable and several new releases with Shrink without any problems. Only newer Disney movies give me problems. Used DVD Fab on National Treasure 2. After restarting several times, I remembered to choose "ignore all" when error popped up. Used DVD Shrink to re-author and "voila" perfect. But, still cannot burn 101 Dalmations.
With 5 grandchildren it is insane for someone to tell me I cannot make copies. I let my 8 y/o grandson take it home before I could copy it and without supervision, it came back too scratched to even play. Had to purchase another!!!!

Well i have make the ripper don't know how current it is but I have it when I rip the movie it says that there are intentional bad sectors in the movie and gives me the option to "pad" or "delete" them I padded it then tried to burn it using toast 7 (which I regularly use to burn ripped movies) and it would shut down everytime i tried to compress it so I used a dual layer DVD and it seemed to burn ok then when I went to play it, it would go through the menus but wouldn't play the main feature. Ideas?
